Mike MacDonnell

Mike is a Colorado native and is the youngest of nine children. He grew up playing multiple sports, but gravitated toward tennis which he played in high school and college. Currently a 5.0 rated tennis player, he has now transitioned to focusing primarily on pickleball and sees the crossover between the two sports as a great opportunity to bring connections to his teaching/coaching.

Mike is a PTR certified tennis instructor and a PPR and IPTPA certified pickleball instructor/coach. He has coached and taught tennis and pickleball for several years in the community, and actively competes in both sports locally and nationally.
Mike is a patient instructor and enjoys teaching/coaching all ages and skill levels. Currently a retired educator, he is very excited to share his passion for pickleball to help all players reach their goals.

Tim Kuss

Tim grew up in Ohio playing competitive baseball, basketball and golf, earning a college scholarship in basketball. He has 3 wonderful sons: Aaron, Lucas & Brandon and 3 lovely grandchildren: Levi, Olivia and Valentina. Tim is a Clinical Nutritionist, and founder and CEO of Infinity Health, a leading Nutrition distributor and author of two books on Nutrition.

Tim is a legacy 5.0 Pickleball player and has medaled twice at Nationals and in over 100 tournaments over the past 9 years. He is also a 3 time US Senior Pickleball (USSP) Annual Circuit Point winner in his age group. He is a founding and current Board member of USSP. Tim is a double certified Pickleball Teaching Professional from both IPTPA and PPR. He is also co-Director of IPTPA in Colorado and a Certified Rating Specialist. Tim is the Tournament Director for the Colorado Open, a leading annual summer tournament in Colorado Springs.
Tim has been a coach most of his adult life in various sports and now Pickleball for the past 8 years. Tim shares his enthusiasm for life in his coaching style. He most loves to help students progress to their Pickleball goals in simple, easy steps that are quickly acquired and implemented.


Elizabeth Roy
Pro Level II

Driven by a deep love for Pickleball and a commitment to helping others reach their potential, Elizabeth brings a competitive edge and a fun, supportive approach to every coaching session. With a relaxed coaching style, she helps players grow while having a great time on the court.
She didn’t come from a racket sports background, which helps her relate to players starting from scratch. Playing for 3 years, including tournaments, she’s gathered important information on fundamentals, strategy, and shot selection. She appreciates how Pickleball adapts to all ages, play styles, and experience levels, and strives to do the same in her coaching, meeting you where you’re at to help achieve your goals.
She plays competitively at the 4.5+ level and carries an IPTPA Pro Level I certification. Elizabeth is an active member of the local Pickleball Community, and is an all-in kind of pickleballer. She combines tournament-tested skills with a love for teaching to make a great coach for anyone. For Elizabeth, Pickleball is about personal growth, lifting others up, and making every game a win no matter the ending score.



Kim Kesner
Pro Level III

Kim was a two sport collegiate athlete in volleyball and softball in Texas. She played tennis for many years and was ranked a 5.0 player. She started playing pickleball 8 years ago, and is a sponsored Pro player by ONIX and the NPL (National pickleball league She has won multiple medals in tournaments for APP, PPA, Us open and Nationals. Kim was awarded most improved player of the year for APP. Kim was picked 8th last year and 12th this year for National Pickleball League that is the top professionals that are 50+ in the United States. She was drafted on JBB United last season and Kansas City Stingers this past season and played the top pod for her teams. Kim has enjoyed being a team supporter and advocate for the NPL, ONIX and for pickleball.
Kim is a pioneer for the sport of pickleball and has taught clinics, lessons, and am now is excited to be a part of Epic pickleball club as a coach. Her years of tournament experience helps her with strategy and shots to coach during her lessons. She has been a certified IPTPA pickleball instructor/coach since 2017. Kim has enjoyed what pickleball does for the health, wellbeing, and the friendships she has made along the 8 years.
While enjoying coaching, she also works in her own clinic at Primary Care and Chiropractic as a chiropractor and acupuncturist since 1998.

Patrick Roy
Pro Level I

​
Patrick is a versatile athlete and experienced coach with a rich history in sports. A Division I soccer player at the University of Hartford, he earned All-American honors and received scholarships for his exceptional skills. His athletic background also includes recruitment for Division I Wrestling and training in martial arts, and billiards. He also has a love for adventure and completed all of Colorado's 14ers.
​
As a coach, Patrick has worked with top soccer youth programs such as the Colorado Rapids and Colorado Rush teams, focusing on player development and fostering a passion for the game. He also currently teaches billiards, sharing his expertise in yet another competitive arena.
​
Now an accomplished Pickleball player, Patrick has earned multiple medals in 5.0 & Open division tournaments. His Pickleball journey began with family in Florida, and today, he enjoys sharing the sport with his wife and 10-year-old daughter.

With his diverse background, dedication to helping others, and competitive spirit succeed, Patrick inspires athletes of all ages and abilities to grow and thrive.

Steven Hammer

Steven discovered Pickleball two years ago and quickly fell in love with the sport. Now competing at the 4.0 tournament level, he remains a dedicated student of the game, always striving to refine his skills and strategy.
​
With over 30 years of experience as a high school administrator and math teacher, Steven understands that everyone learns differently—both in the classroom and on the court. He values each player’s unique journey and adapts his coaching to meet them where they are, whether they’re just starting out or looking to break bad habits and sharpen their game.
​
First-time players appreciate his patience and guidance, quickly building confidence and developing game-ready skills. More advanced players benefit from his analytical approach, learning proper technique and deepening their Pickleball IQ.
